The Fourth in the Forth on the Fourth
At 11.00 on the morning of the 4th of January 2011 we started our centenary year with a splash by having our own version of the 'Loony Dook'.
About 25 of us ran into the tropical waters of the Forth for a quick swim, followed by a hot drink and a warm up back at the Scout Hall
Thanks to all who took part, the hardy ones that braved the water and the spectators that braved the weather to encourage them. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The water was just as cold as it looked so well done those that took the plunge.

If you have any pictures that you want to add please email them to me and I'll upload them.
There were a number of suggestions that we should make it an annual event, mainly from the spectators I have to say. As it took until the next day for my feet to thaw I'm not sure, let me know what you think.
See you at our next event, The Burnsish Night on the 5th February.

Get Involved
There are many ways to get involved with the 4th Leith. It's not all about becoming a full time leader.
We would love to hear from parents or adults with particular interests or talents that they would like to share.
For those who prefer to work behind the scenes there are also opportunities to help out through the Group Executive and the Fundraising Committee.
