Our History

4th Leith Scouts were founded in 1910-1911 in St Serfs Church Hall, Goldenacre. The group became successful and during the First World War, even when there were no adult leaders there were over 100 Scouts.

In 1947 it was decided that a new meeting place was needed for the Scouts and 10 years later the Scout Hall in South Trinity Road was opened by Lord Baden-Powell, the son of the founder of the movement.

Over time a Rover Section, now Explorers, for older boys and a Wolf Cub Pack, now Cubs, for younger boys were established. Finally a Beaver Colony was established for the youngest members of Scouting.
